Kuda Lumping, One of Traditional Dances in Central Java, Indonesia

Last year, there were traditional dancers performed in front of my house.  The traditional dance called Kuda Lumping (Lumping Horse, Lumping means skin of animal like cow, goat, or buffalo) , Jaran Kepang (Jaran means horse, Kepang means plaited of something) Kuda Lumping is one of extreme dance in Indonesia. Why? Because the dancers can eat the pieces of glass! Weww...

The dancers of Kuda Lumping wearing costume and keep dancing door next door, include in front of my house.

There were two dancers and the man who played and kept the stereo. The dancers danced so beautifully. Although they were man, they danced so supple. I was dazzled then I took their pictures using my digital camera. I took their pictures while they kept dancing and threw his smile for me.

The man who played and kept the stereo.

The man who played and kept the stereo danced too.

Yeah, they really entertained my neighbors and I. I like their performance very much because :
  1. They introduce our neighbor and the children who have not watched this dance.
  2. They participate keeping our Indonesian Culture especially Central Java.

After they performed, one of dancers ask my neighbors and I to give them some money. Why did they do it? Because their job was like that. Dancing door next door to get some money for their life.

Is there someone become a dancer to get some money for their life? If there, please comment and share it to me. Thank you for reading this post.^_^
